Absolutely nothing to do with Christmas

Illuminating lesson (found from ever-interesting Birdy's blog - in Finnish only, sorry). If it gets too depressing, picture 12 is pretty uplifting (tee hee) if you move the cursor quickly back and forth.

I'd like to see a similar series in which retouching is done only to make the women look better than they do in reality. In this series, a lot of the retouching is clearly meant to make the women look the same as they do in reality. For example, the colors and contrast are crappy in many images, and of course those things should be corrected (just like many people do with their holiday photos).

In fact, the technical quality of some of the original images is so bad that it makes me wonder if they actually are the original images. I mean, since the original images are technically bad, the retouching looks all the more impressive. Or maybe the photographer knew that they are going to be retouched anyway, and didn't just care about quality that much.

Real life was that short, huh? ;-)

Once again I don't quite understand what Jaakko means by his comment.

Sorry, I forgot there are diplomi-insinööris in here. But luckily I'm not inpatient, so I shall explain: see Linda's previous entry, where she said that real life is getting in way of blogging. And then, some days later, she is back blogging. So the obvious conclusion is that real life did not last that long.

So it was a reply to Linda, not to you.

If needed, I can repeat the above, a bit slower.

"See Linda's previous blog entry" would have been enough, thank you.
