M just took off to Canada for two weeks (pig), and when he gets back I'll leave to Finland within two days for another two weeks. Weird enough for us, but how badly will this traumatize the poor puppy?
Whenever M works late, Shep will sit by the door waiting until he comes home, and the last time we left him for one day he doggy-cried when we got back and took him home. He is never happier than when the whole pack is together.
Oh well. It's a dog's life. (No-one tell him we'll both go away for summer holidays...)
